That's right, Owl fans. According to the Florida Atlantic University web site, the Owls will have a new on-campus stadium in the fall of 2010.
According to the Palm Beach Post, Florida Atlantic University's Board of Trustees unanimously passed a resolution to move forward with financing and developing a 30,000 seat stadium on the Boca Raton campus.
In other FAU football news. Quarterback Rusty Smith was named USA Today player of the week for his performance against the Minnesota Gophers.
According to FAUsports.com, Smith was also named Sun Belt conference offensive player of the week. Defensive Back, Tavious Polo, won both the Walter Camp and the Sun Belt conference defensive player of the week.
What an amazing week it has been for FAU football. A new stadium and a victory all in one week. In the next three weeks FAU will be playing two top 25 ranked team; Kentucky and University of South Florida.
