Dolphins lose safety....add free agents

After losing safety Yeremiah Bell with a torn left Achillies' tendon, The Miami Dolphins signed both free agents Donovan Darius and Lamont Thompson.

Darius, a former Jacksonville Jaguar and a eight year veteran brings leadership and experience to young secondary. He's known for his hard-hitting aggressive style. With second year cornerback Jason Allen, this secondary unit will make the Dolphins a much better passing defensive team.

The Dolphins also added former Tennesse Titans Lamont Thompson. Thompson brings the "in your face" hands on defense. He's physical and will bring a NFL experience cornerback to the team. The Dolphins have to choose between Darius and Thompson. Other options for safety would be Renaldo Hill and Travares Tillman. The Dolphins play there first home against the Dallas Cowboys this sunday.

On a sad note, former Miami Hurricanes and current Buffalo Bills football player Kevin Everett suffered a severe spinal cord injury. The injury that he suffered will be career ending. There's a possibility he may not walk again, although he did regain movement in his legs and arms. "Doctors are optimistic", according to
Yahoo Sports.
