FAU wins.... beat University of Minnesota

Florida Atlantic University owls forced seven turnovers and combined on 580 offensive total yardage to beat the University of Minnesota golphers.

Rusty Smith threw for 463 yards and five touchdowns. Smith went 27-44, and connected with running backs William Rose and Diivory Edgecomb. Smith, also threw two other touchdowns to wide receivers Lester Jean and Conshario Johnson.

STATSFACT OF THE GAME

FAU never gave away the lead in the entire game.

Smith, had a career high in both passing yardage and touchdowns.

Tavious Polo, defensive back, had three interceptions on the game.

Overall, this game was a offensive shootout. Both teams combined for 1,050 yards and 81 points. This was FAU's first win against a Big Ten conference team in the school's history.

Next week, The owls play the University of North Texas. Players to watch out for next week will FAU quarterback Rusty Smith and North Texas wide reciever Casey Fitzgerald who has 453 yards receiving and 3 touchdowns in just three games.
